To be this close to these majestic creatures is an honour. Beautiful animals.
The Black Church of Buðir
The hamlet of Buðir haunts the Southern edge of the Snæfellsness peninsular about 40 minute drive from Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall.
It had some potential as a trading point during the Danish Days as it has a natural harbour and good mountain pass to the Northern side of the peninsular.
As with most of Iceland it is a stand out location for photographers.
Kirkjufell & Kirkjufellfoss
Grundarfjordur‘s beautiful landmark Kirkjufell (Church Mountain) is said to be the most photographed mountain in Iceland. Its isolated position, 463 meters above sea level and jutting out into the sea, makes it a focal point for travellers and locals alike. The colours of the mountain change colours every season, from the summer greens to winter white so you‘ll always find a new perspective to this majestic mountain.
